Nowadays especially, we women face a lot of health issues due to deficiency of Iron in our daily diet. Every second woman in India is iron deficient. Iron-deficiency anemia reduces the work capacity of a woman bringing serious social, lifestyle and economic consequences in her life.Few of the common symptoms are feeling tired, pale skin, hair fall, nails that break easily.

Here is the simple tasty recipe which can help you in getting iron and also good for health.

Preparation time:5 minutes


Methi Dana (fenugreek seeds) 1/4 cup and soak it overnight. (It quantity get almost triple the original after soaking for overnight)
Jaggery -Gur – Equal to Methi Dana
Raisins- half cup
Rai dana 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder 1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder 1 tsp
Amchur Powder 1/2 tsp
salt to taste

Method for preparation:

  1. Heat a frying pan and add 1 tsp oil to it. Better to use mustard oil.
  2. Add Rai dana and when it starts heating add chili powder to it.
  3. Simultaneously Add 1/3 cup water to it.
  4. Stir well
  5. Now add Methi Dana to it and other spices.
  6. Add Amchur powder
  7. Cover the pan for 2 minutes.
  8. Now add jaggery/gur to it.
  9. Stir well
  10. Now add soaked Raisins and almonds.
  11. Garnish with almonds

You can serve it as hot but it tastes best after kept for a night and then serve it with bread/roti or Bajre ki roti.
